Miss Universe

Artist and filmmaker Sabrina Labis (b. 1990, Zurich) examines digital image-making and the power structures behind it. This exhibition addresses historically conditioned sexism in science and technology and its manifestation in knowledge transfer. At its centre is a new video work in which a performer translates the stellar classification mnemonic O B A F G K M into body movements — experimenting with alternative mnemonics that invert those power relations.
