Same Air
Fourteen artists rooted in the Gulf — the same place, the same moment, the same air.
The title arrived before the concept. Same Air describes the condition rather than a theme: fourteen artists connected to the Gulf, all of them working in the same region during the same weeks, breathing the same pressurised atmosphere. The gallery sent no brief and specified no subject. It asked artists to return to their studios and make whatever came. What came back is unfinished, unresolved, in motion. Works that arrived at the gallery still processing something — spanning painting, sculpture, video, textile, collage and installation, held together not by aesthetic affinity but by the fact of having been made here, now, under these conditions. No two people breathe the same way under pressure. The works confirm it. The exhibition runs simultaneously online and in the gallery — a living record of how a particular moment is being absorbed and mediated by people who are inside it. It is less a statement than a document, and more honest for being that.
