HEAL Institute
Regenerating the living world
The HEAL Institute is the ecological floor of the Museum of the Future, where visitors take on the role of bioengineers working to restore the planet's damaged ecosystems by the year 2071. The experience moves through immersive environments designed by leading studios, beginning with "The Forest" — a towering Ceiba tree set amid the sound of falling rain and thousands of points of light that visualise the unseen, interconnected life of the Amazon. Its centrepiece is "The Library," a chamber of 2,400 laser-engraved crystal jars, each preserving a single species — plant, mammal or micro-organism, alive or extinct — with a 3D model etched inside the glass. The space is lined in sustainable rattan palm, reinforcing its theme of regeneration. Part seed bank and part cathedral, the HEAL Institute frames biodiversity as precious and precarious, and ecological restoration as a future still within reach. The experience is included in general admission.
