The Orchards (Quranic Gardens)
Twelve open-air orchards of scripture's trees
Spread across the open grounds of the park are twelve orchards, each devoted to a plant or tree named in the Quran — a grape orchard, a date-palm orchard, an olive orchard, and others — so that the landscape itself becomes the largest exhibit in the park. Unlike the climate-controlled Glass House, these are the species hardy enough to grow in the open air, planted at scale and threaded with walking paths. Golden Arabic-calligraphy kiosks set among the trees carry the scriptural references and explain each plant's historical, scientific and medicinal role, turning a walk through the gardens into an unhurried form of reading. Free to all visitors, the orchards are the part of the park that most fully delivers its founding idea: scripture made physical, growing in the ground, open to anyone who wanders in.
