About

Quran Park is a 60-hectare cultural park in Al Khawaneej, opened by Dubai Municipality in 2019 and dedicated to the teachings of the Quran through nature, science and technology. It is landscaped around plant species named in the Quran and the Sunnah, each presented with its historical, scientific and medicinal significance. The grounds hold open gardens, a central lake, prayer rooms and solar "trees" that power the park's lighting, alongside two ticketed indoor attractions — the Glass House and the Cave of Miracles. The park is open to visitors of all faiths; entry to the grounds is free, with the two indoor attractions ticketed separately.

Why this museum matters

Exhibo editorial

Quran Park treats a religious text as a botanical and scientific reference, then grows the result. If a plant is named in scripture, it's here in the ground, labelled with what science now knows about it — so a walk through the park becomes a form of reading. That openness is the point: free at its core and addressed to visitors of any faith, it presents Islamic heritage as something to wander into rather than be taught, using landscape and technology in place of the display case. It's a civic gesture as much as a religious one, and a deliberate counter to the idea that this kind of heritage belongs behind glass.
